Several things coming up that I wanted to get out to everyone....
SWINE VALIDATION is Monday, November 23rd at the Show barn in Archer City from 6-8 pm.
All Entries for the Major Shows are due on November 23rd also.
The Archer County Junior Livestock Show entries are due in the County Extension Office on Friday, December 4th. Any entries received after that date will have a $10.00 late fee added to them... so get those entries in!!!
Our Photography workshop on Saturday was great. We did lots of brainstorming for our entries for the County Show, alot of talking about photography and even went out and took some photos! We will try to do another one in the Spring if anyone missed this one and is interested in attending one!!
The County 4H banquet on Sunday was great!! Thank you to those from Holliday 4H that attended... next year we would LOVE to see one whole table full of Holliday 4H-ers and their families.
DECEMBER MEETING: Will be on Tuesday, December 8th, 2009 at 6:30 pm at the Methodist Church.
This will be our Christmas party of sorts, we are asking that everyone bring your favorite desert for the refreshments.
One of the activities will be making signs and discussing decorations for the 4H float in the Holliday Christmas parade... it will be on Saturday, Dec.12 at 10:00 am, we will be meeting at 9:30 am that morning to put the finishing touches on the float and get ready... Our theme will be "Going Green with 4H" so everyone wear green and a Santa hat.
This will also be our last meeting before the County Show in January.
We want everyone to attend this meeting for sure!!
COUNTY SHOW CATALOG : We received the books at the banquet on Sunday night, if you want to get a copy, contact us here by email and we will get you one,just remember all entries MUST be in by December 4th, so you will need to get your entries before the meeting. The book is also available for download on the County Extension website here. So you can download and print at least the entry forms from there.
